Yesterday was another gloomy day, but since I had to drive to the shop, I decided to stop by the park and walk a little.
The sun was already setting and while I don’t mind walking in the dark on the streets around my neighbourhood, The Common park is located in more central area of my city and most parts of it are not well lit.
I still remember the stories from 15+ years back of my friends who walked past the common and had various strangers stopping them and asking for the most weird things.
In daytime it’s one of our favourite places to meet and walk around. Even the oldest cemetery that is a part of it is pleasant to walk around. Spring flowers only give it more joy.
But yesterday I took no pictures, as I didn’t want to rich to my pocket for my phone, so I’m sharing pics from other walks.
As I walked into the park there was a group of men, drinking on the bench. I felt their gaze following my steps and already then decided it was going to be a short walk.
I did pick up my phone to capture unusual ducks with long necks though.
Two of them were standing there, probably looking for a place to rest at night, but seeing me must have disturbed them and they went back in the water.
I also saw a huge gathering of magpies. There must have been at least 30 of them. Standing on the pathway, busy talking. I wonder what they were chatting about 😉
Of course those too flew away as they saw me approaching, so I didn’t get a picture of them.
Anyway, a short walk is better than no walk I guess. At least I broke some sweat, rushing before the darkness.
Until next walk 💙
