The fire has settled 6.5 miles from the farm thanks to the temps and winds. It is so thick I can nearly cut slices of air. We know people who lost homes, some classmates of our boys, and it is so sad to see the devastation. 9000 acres and still growing, albeit slowly. Few steps today as I didn't want to be in the smoke too long.
