I ran into
todayWe got some sushi after work
At one point she starts ranting about her employer and comes out with this gem:
"A thousand plus public sector middle-managers busy keeping up appearances in a fish tank in the cbd!
What do these people actually do all day?!
I shrug
I don't know the answer
The question was rhetorical anyway
I figure it's just a rash generalisation
and a way to vent after a bad day at work
Though, I must admit, similar sentiment has bubbled up from the ignorant, troglodytic, assumptive part of my brain on occasion
It was nice to catch up
