(Here is another photo from my Sunday walk. It shows an Airbus A380, presumably from Lufthansa.)
Hi Actifitters,
after another rest day, I jumped on my indoor bike yesterday feeling well-rested and, following an extensive stretching session, started with a Zwift live race. With around 18 km I selected a relatively short one and resolved to push myself to my limits. In hindsight, I think I could have pushed even harder, but during the race itself, it felt like a real struggle. Nevertheless, the result is something I am fine with, considering that I even set a personal record. The maximum power output I can sustain on average over 20 minutes increased from 258 to 263 watts. Small successes like this bring joy, show that training pays off, and boost motivation.
Here are some numbers:
place - 28/41
Duration - 0:30:40
Distance - 18.29 km
Elevetaion gain - 132 m
Average speed - 35.8 km/h
Maximum speed - 58.5 km/h
Average power output - 257 watts
Maximum power output - 593 watts
Average heart rate - 157 bpm
Maximum heart rate - 178 bpm
Average cadence - 88
Maximum cadence - 101
To burn off a few more calories, I got back on my bike a good hour later and completed the "Climb of the Week." It was relatively short. I had to cover an elevation gain of 255 meters on a distance of exactly 8 kilometers including descending. The whole thing took 24 minutes.
I’ll be doing another cycling session today. Garmin is suggesting a base training session. I think I will follow the suggestion.
