Hi Actifitters,
as I already announced in my last post, I went hiking with friends yesterday. However, the focus was only secondarily on training; rather, it was about having a good time while getting a bit of exercise.
In places, it was quite steep, but that shouldn't pose a problem. We simply adjusted our pace to the conditions and were able to carry on a conversation the entire time—a sign that no one was pushing themselves to their limits.
Upon arriving at the hut, we enjoyed a delicious lunch followed by a slice of cake. Afterward, we sat together for a little while before heading back down toward the valley.
In total, we covered a distance of just under 12 kilometers and 620 meters of elevation gain in slightly over three hours.
This afternoon, I am meeting some acquaintances at a festival not far from where I live. I’ll probably walk the nearly eight kilometers to get there. Before that, however, I want to hop on my bike. I’ll decide how long to ride once I’m in the saddle.
