A fairly exhausting but enjoyable day. Kuta is where I grew up into my teenage years. It’s been a very long time since I last came back here. I have some activities in Bali this week, so this weekend felt like a good opportunity to revisit the places where I grew up.
But unfortunately, the changes have been too drastic. Massive development everywhere. Trash piling up along Jalan Legian. Coastal erosion on the beach. It’s really sad.
In the end, I chose to enjoy the beach around Petitenget instead, near Seminyak. At least the beach there is still fairly nice, with a long stretch of sand remaining.
