It was a busy day related to my elder son's school.
At the elementary school my son attends, he has to go to school as a group in a predetermined group. In addition, one parent or guardian must always accompany them, and today was the day I took on that role. The children all line up to go to school, but some of them start to play or almost run off the sidewalk, so I always have to keep a close eye on them. It was tiring!
After that, I went home and then went to the school again to work for the PTA. We had to print materials to distribute to parents, but few of our members could find the time during the weekday, so three of us, including myself, had to do the work.
Fortunately, the other two people seemed calm and the work proceeded in a friendly atmosphere. However, one of them is also a board member of a children's association, and she said that the atmosphere among the members was very bad...from what he told me, it seemed to be very difficult. The person said that sometimes she "can't sleep" because of the children's association.
PTA, neighborhood associations, children's associations... Few people like being an officer of these organizations (although occasionally there are those who enjoy it), and most of them take on the role because they have no choice. I myself was told that I would have to be a PTA board member as well when I accepted the position of head of the school attendance group, which I didn't fully agree with, so I understand the feeling. I don't think about it anymore, but I guess there are some people who can't change their minds and are reluctant to serve their full term of office. I see and hear about such cases here and there, so I think this is no longer the fault of the individual, but rather the fault of the system.
The equipment in the PTA meeting room was so old and only had a printing machine that could not make color copies, so I had to run to a convenience store on the way there.... There was a good-looking copier in the staff room, but the school and the PTA are separate organizations, so they are not allowed to use it😅
Although it was only Daily Activity, it was a surprisingly walking day!

長男の学校関連で忙しい一日でした。
まず、朝は集団登校の付き添い当番。息子が通う小学校では集団登校が基本で、毎朝近隣の子どもたちがグループで登校することになっています。また必ず保護者が1人付き添うことになっており、今日は私がその当番でした。ゾロゾロと列になって学校へ向かうのですが、子どもたちの中には途中遊びだしたり、歩道から飛び出しそうになったりする子がいるので、私も常に目を光らせながらの付き添いです。疲れました！
一旦帰宅後、PTAの仕事のため再度学校へ。保護者に配布する資料の印刷でしたが、平日の日中に時間がとれるメンバーがほとんどおらず、私を含め3人での作業となりました。
幸い私以外の2人は穏やかそうな人達で、和やかな雰囲気の中作業は進みました。そのうちの一人は子供会の役員も兼ねているそうですが、とても雰囲気が悪いらしく…話を聞く限り大変そうでした。その方は、子供会が原因で「眠れないこともある」と言っていました。
PTA、町内会、子供会。こうした組織の「役員」を好きでやっている人は少なく（たまに好きでやっている人はいますが）ほとんどの人が、仕方なく引き受けています。私自身、登校班の班長を引き受けたところ後からPTA役員も兼任ですと言われ、納得のいかない思いでスタートしたので、気持ちはよく分かります。私は今はもう何とも思っていませんが、中には気持ちが切り替えられないまま、嫌々ながら任期を全うする人もいるのでしょう。そのようなケースをあちこちで見聞きするので、これはもう個人が悪いのではなく、しくみが悪いと思ってます😢
PTA会議室の備品は古く、カラーコピーのできない印刷機しかなかったため、途中コンビニに走ったり…。職員室には良さそうなコピー機がありましたが、学校とPTAは別の組織なので、使ってはいけないのだそうです😅
Daily Activityのみですが、意外と歩いた日になりました！
