Today we had a school orientation for new first-year students. I attended it with our committee leader to explain about group school attendance.
Up until yesterday, I was quite angry with the leader for her attitude over the past few weeks, but after complaining on HIVE last night and sleeping overnight, my anger had mysteriously subsided. I ate lunch, got ready, and headed to school. There is a rule that we must basically walk to the school. This is because the school has a large number of children and it is very crowded if parents ride bicycles to the school on the day of an event where a large number of people gather.
I am a worrier, especially when it comes to time, and I usually arrive earlier than the meeting time or assembly time. When I arrived at the school, there was still about 15 minutes before the start of orientation, and of course the leader had not yet arrived. So I watched the children playing jump rope on the playground under the cold weather. Despite this low temperature, most of the children were in short sleeves. Children are really energetic.
We then met up with our leader and the orientation went off without a hitch. The waiting time was longer than the time we actually spent explaining things to them, which was somewhat tiring. We then moved to the PTA meeting room to sort the collected documents with other members. On the way, I had to run to the teachers' office on the first floor to confirm something with the school, so it was a day of walking a lot for an indoor activity.
With only two months left in this school year, our term as PTA officers will soon come to an end. There have been many things that have upset me during my PTA officer activities this year, and I have even written a few complaints on HIVE, but I hope to be able to say "thank you" to everyone for their hard work at the end of the school year. I will try to do my best a little more!☺️

今日は新一年生を対象とした学校説明会がありました。私は集団登校に関する説明をするため、委員長と一緒に説明会に出席しました。
昨日は委員長の対応にかなり腹を立てていましたが、HIVEで愚痴って一晩寝ると、不思議と怒りは収まっていました。お昼ご飯を食べて身支度をして、学校へ向かいました。学校へは、基本的に徒歩で行かなければならないという決まりがあります。児童数の多い学校で、大人数が集まる催しの日に保護者が自転車で行くと、大混雑してしまうためです。
私は特に時間に関して心配性で、待ち合わせ時刻や集合時間より大抵早く到着してしまいます。学校に到着すると、説明会の開始時刻までまだ15分ほどあり、当然委員長もまだ来ていません。そこで寒空の下、運動場で縄跳びをする児童たちをぼんやりと眺めていました。この寒い中、ほとんどの児童は半袖です。子どもは元気だな、と思いながら。
時間になって委員長と合流し、説明会は無事に終了しました。説明するよりも待ち時間の方が長く、やや草臥れました。その後PTA会議室に移動して、他のメンバーと一緒に回収した書類の仕分け作業です。途中、学校側に確認したいことがあり1Fの職員室まで走ったりと、屋内の活動の割によく歩いた一日でした。
今年度も残すところあと2ヶ月で、私たちの任期もまもなく終了です。今年度のPTA役員活動ではちょいちょい腹の立つことも多く、何度かHIVEに愚痴を書きなぐったりもしてきましたが、最後は気持ちよく皆さんに「お疲れ様」と言えたらと思います。あともう少し頑張ります☺️
