After our three hour drive back home, I went up the stairs again. And again. And again. Getting three bags up there with every sprint.
Before we left for the trip, our washing machine broke down. Best thing to happen, if you know you'll be returning from one week trip with a baby.
Before buying a new one, I wanted to check if I could fix it myself and took out the heating element to look under the barrel after detatching some fancy looking cables.
Turns out there was nothing in there. I expected a sock or a hair clip but it seems to be a problem with the motor. The thing is seven years old, so no chance to get it repaired or replaced.
After spending three hours on this and learning a lot about washing machines I ordered a new one. A Samsung WW80J5435DW/EG. It seems to be an old model, so we only paid 360 euros plus 30 to have it delivered to the fourth floor and installed. The newer one with AddWash and Wifi features is over 600 euros but the washing functionality seems to be the same.
Now I just have to get out the water of my old machine so that the delivery service will take the broken thing with them. Get ready bathroom, I'm going to flood you.
