CARDIO & NO SUGAR FOR 30 DAYS
Biking instead of weight lifting. That was the day today. I feel that cardio combined with muscle building makes health stronger.
I usually bike around town to get stuff and today was no different, only that since I didn't go to the gym I took a little time extra to do it in order to increase my cardio hours.
Since December first, I've been in this challenge of no sugar for week.
I created a WhatsApp group to help those who want to join and change their eating habits. It's been doing well so far. Some of the group members have been serious about the challenge which makes me very happy. Among all of us help each other to make it happen.
The challenge is for 7 days but my own challenge is for the whole month
I love sweet things. It's been like that since I was a kid. I got used to eat some dessert after lunch or dinner. Later on, in life, that increased to cookies, softdrinks, juices with abundant sugar etc.
My addiction for sugar is such that there's no day that I go without something sugary.
Thank God, I'm still healthy. No serious problems like diabetes or something related has happened. Nevertheless, I know that sugar is not good.
In the past years, I've been doing all possible to stay healthy. I've been working out regularly, eating healthy, meditating among other things that bring well-being to my life. Still, the habit of having sugar hasn't changed. I've gathered information about sugar and all the damage that causes to the body. It has opened my mind and eyes to understand I need to stop. This is why of the challenge.
Today is the third day. It has been easier than I thought. I have felt the need to put something sweet in my mouth but I've been strong enough to say no. And that's what's about.
Been eating salads, bought some bananas and pure chocolate with no sugar added to make some kind of dessert with natural food. I can use honey but trying to use small doses. Been drinking coffee without sugar etc.
Lettuce, cachucha chili, red onion, leek, garlic, grated pumpkin and pumpkin seeds.
Coffee and milk with no sugar and some cinnamon, which is good for digestion
I've learned that everything becomes glucose in the body at the end. I just wanna make sure my sources are only natural.
My purposes are two :
- One is very clear and obvious, to stay healthy.
- The other is to loose weight in the belly to mark the six pack. At this point there's only one pack 😂 (wish me luck and strength)
I can say I feel my stomach less bloated and I've been sleeping better.
I'll be posting more about my progress and also about my friends in the WhatsApp group.
