after hearing some pretty big news from work, my brain started to wander. as it wandered, the body followed. and soon enough, i was outside walking the streets. as if on auto pilot, my feet carried me to places quite far from the close comforts of the home.
checked google maps from time to time, the feet decided to walk along this main road as if leading to nowhere. at least i had to know where this leads me, i thought. there were a couple of notable grocery shops and department store up a long this path which will eventually end at a park, the great ueno park for those curious.
so here i am happily walking the straight path with filipino songs blasting my ears. filipino / philippine pop or ppop has been on the rise lately and i'm just here to support. of course there were a couple of skips in this specific playlist like that one song for christmas but most were generally good with a couple of standouts. taking occasional sips of this strawberry milk drink i brought along, this cleared my mind. to be honest, my mind has cleared the moment i went out of the house.
eventually saw the aforementioned grocery store, traversed every alley in search of something to buy. i often find myself lost in stores, as if looking for something but ends up buying nothing. that took at least an hour before i left, ended up buying a mixed nuts.
as if not satisfied, i entered a second department store this time and looked through all the four floors they had. there were three notable places i took interest in: food, men's section, and skin care. took mental notes of which items were available for a future visit and ended up buying more nuts.
i proceeded on to the streets but got blocked by a train station. i just do not have any idea how to cross to the park. and since it was a bit late, i retraced my steps back home instead.
it was a very nutty day, or night rather. i would have preferred a different type of nut but had these instead. my snacks for weeks were confirmed. this short walking experience was somehow fun, usually called machibura (街ブラ) in japanese or the act of leisurely walking around the city. no specific aim, no specific goal, but stop by and enjoy every place which spiked the interest.

upon reaching home, did some preparation for the gym and went off. trip after trip, it seemed like i've got endless energy today. so here was the routine.
- pull ups (9 x 12)
- barbell bent-over row (65kg x 3 x 12)
- shrugs (55kg x 3 x 20)
- chest supported bumbbell row (35kg x 3 x 12)
- a set each of the following with no rest between sets
-- face pull (18kg x 3 x 12)
-- straight arm pulldown (20kg x 3 x 12) - reverse fly (32kg x 3 x 12)
- lat pulldown (50kg x 3 x 12)
- seated row (32kg x 3 x 12)
the seated row machine was still broken, we had to improvise and used a different machine. that was not as good, settled with 32kg. could have been better but better than nothing.
now here is a question, do you have something that you did randomly but ended up enjoying completely?
AMPING KANUNAY!
