let's go to the beach! nah, impossible to enjoy the beach at winter. might as well just have my nightwalk near the sumida river instead. it is still a body of water, pretty much same same. may this body of water take out all the clogging in my nose.
never expected to see people fishing in this river though. does this even have fish? i don't see any bucket though, so did they catch any? or did they just throw back what ever they caught? i have no clue, but i have seen at least 2 fishing rods. i have never seen the fishers before, too. do the fish come only in winter? too many questions but i really got no answer.
this river bank was deserted after the fishing incident, no soul was in sight (i guess i have no third eye). the lights at the distance was also nothing special. they look better on camera though, i guess the reflections they made on the water made it better. bicycles coming, here i am scrambled with my phone to get a good bicycle shot. still this obsession with the bicycle, and still not today. did you even see the bike? let us just imagine a perfectly shot bike in this second picture. still no luck today.
made a turn at this park, it surely had a different feel on winters. when i was here in spring there were lots of families even at night. in winter, not a soul in sight (did i just blurt that out again?). i stayed for a bit at this viewing area, seems like you could see dragonflies from here. dragonflies are a special thing in this park, but aren't dragonflies a tiny insect? shouldn't they be better viewed in the fields rather than on this viewing deck? finally some jogger passed by, i guess it is my queue to leave as well.
nearing home, i decided to check this little road between houses. our city is so full of houses, a very residential city. but you'll never know what else you could see unless you pass by each small road. most of the time you will only see the different types of small houses. most of the time you will be met with judging eyes as if you are some stalker trailing someone. quite understandable as people who pass by these small roads are usually only those who live in the vicinity. but sometimes you get to see some treasures. this small scale shrine in the corner is one of those unexpected finds. and flowers were offered in there, so someone nearby was maintaining the shrine. this small road eventually led to this temple just across home.
saw another bicycle, still no luck. that lighted area peaking on the right side building is the gym i usually go to. it was so close to home, the journey will be ending soon.
just a quick update on the fitbit issue yesterday, i had another update notification. this time it was a language update, i just proceeded with that. i also searched the net on how to turn on gps tracking, it was just a simple setting once you select an exercise. i turned that setting back on and here we are again with the mini map. so glad to have this again. and for a bonus, i finally had a "snowboard" exercise on my fitbit. just glad to record it correctly in the next session. (yes, there is still at least one more snowboard trip for this season.)
as always, AMPING KANUNAY!
