Those cold temps finally hit. Windchill was -16. I almost turned around.
You ever start something and want to quit. That's was me yesterday. Put all my kit on, no ruck, just a 20lb vest. Set up some tunes and stepped off. I was all set to do some intervals.
The wind was howling, kicking up snow and coming head on. Fuck me, my face hurt, my hands were frozen and my mind started to say - just turn around, it's warm at home. You don't need to do this shit.
We've all been there... but this was a mini-battle that I was not going to lose. And I didn't. 5K, 100m intervals with 20lbs.
Ya, I finished. That negative inner voice really pissed me off this time for some reason.
Now that I'm done I feel great. It wasn't an actual ruck, but it was weighted and it all ties together for training.
Send it! Ruck ON!
