Happy Leap Year, everyone! This should be a worldwide holiday because it’s so rare and exciting, shouldn’t it? How many things do you know that only come around every four years?
Anyway, I fully appreciated and enjoyed the day. First thing in the morning I went for a walk at the nature preserve to capture pictures of the hoar frost. It only happens occasionally, and it tends not to ladt long. Sure enough it was burning off quickly. But I managed to capture a few worthwhile pics!
I just love how the ice particles cling to the entire surface of the marsh flowers, reeds and cat tails.
For the second walk, my husband and I walked our favorite trail to the lake. It was quite pretty! The temperatures are above freezing now so everyone was pulling their ice houses off the lake.
