I’ve been saying it for weeks. We never know when autumn will turn to winter. Well.. it was today! I had heard we might get a little snow this weekend and frankly I did not believe it. The weather still seemed like early fall, not at all like it’s time for the white stuff to come down.
I was wrong.
I did a few outdoor chores early in the day, like filling the bird feeders and cleaning the bird bath. I didn’t even put a coat on! But then in the afternoon, just as I was about to go out and finish raking leaves, the snow began to fly!
So I did what I needed to do. I raked the leaves in the snow!
I spent a few hours out there. I have a lot of property and a lot of trees. So it’s no small undertaking. But if I don’t do it, the leaves will still be there when the snow melts in the spring. And that fresh blanket of snow just doesn’t look as nice when it’s lumpy from leaves!
It has been a weird year for weather. There are even still flowers! So it’s no wonder I just couldn’t imagine the snow was coming.
Thank you for visiting!
