I took a walk at a park I love with a creek running through and beautiful marshes all around. It had “warmed up” to 32 degrees Fahrenheit, and it was a lot more comfortable than the last few days when it hovered around zero.
If you have never walked through a frozen marsh, I highly recommend it. It is very serene, as the cattails lay in wait for the blackbirds and dragonflies to return in the spring.
The sun is at an odd angle this time of year, at least in the northern hemisphere. It slants across fields looking strangely pale and tentative, like it is just about to slip away.
But the good news is that it makes for excellent and slightly sinister long shadows.
Thank you so much for visiting! And a huge thanks to for hosting #thoughtfuldailypost. Every day it reminds me to be thoughtful in my posts!
