We had a beautiful snowfall today of four or five inches. It snowed all day, and the sun never made an appearance. But there is something amazing that happens when there is a lot of snow on the ground. It makes it possible to see in the dark!
In this post I will share a few pictures that I took after dark on a walk with a friend. But first, a few from around the house showing the lovely fresh snow.
Believe it or not, this is my bird bath and it has a warmer in it to prevent the water from freezing. I don’t think it’s working!
Garden lights with cute little snow caps…
Okay off to the park! My friend and I met about an hour after sunset. It would have been way too dark to walk if it was not for the bright snow.
Here she is standing by a bench. Where are the legs of the bench? Buried in snow!
The bridge over the creek…
The meadow where dogs love to play…
A path to somewhere…
The glow of the sun coming from somewhere beyond the edge of the earth…
Ghostly, sleeping trees, laying dormant until spring…
Later I went to a little shopping center to pick up pizza for the family, and was captivated by the charming winter decor covered in snow.
