My evening walk was a stroll through the changing seasons. The flowers are fading fast. And the colors of autumn are emerging.
I’ll share some pictures of each, as they are beautiful in different ways.
Every year at this time the sumac shrubs turn red and orange.
Aren’t they just so spectacular? By contrast, the rest of the pictures show the last flowers of summer and their more subdued tones. But I find them equally beautiful.
Every year I resist the change of seasons. I fight it. Whichever season I’m experiencing (well possibly with the exception of winter) I feel like it is the best season, and I’m never ready for it to give way to the next one (especially if it’s winter). But then I get to the next season and I embrace it as much as I did the last one.
I don’t know what that says about me — perhaps that I am forgetful, or maybe easy to please, but more likely both!
Thank you for visiting my blog. I truly appreciate it!
