Fall comes in waves where I live. We first start seeing some color in August. But the complete transformation takes about eight weeks, during which the trees are so vibrant, you almost need sunglasses to view them.
The only problem with all those lovely trees is that they all drop leaves!
So we have been in leaf management for weeks! This was the last day to haul bagged leaves off to our city compound. I took 15 more stuffed bags. Whew!
For weeks I kept bagging leaves and my husband kept running the lawnmower over what remained… yet the leaves kept falling.
Maybe next year I will buy a rider mower with a mulching attachment!
