Daal Maash (white Urid Lentils) with Egg Plant sauce {Chatney(چٹنی)} and a secret ingredient.
First I baked Eggplant in GRATO like style by putting them on stove and turned it to extreme low.
I already soaked Daal Maash in water half an our ago.
Then started to fry chopped onions in oil.
Then turned Garlic, Jinger white Cumin seeds and Corriander seeds into paste with the help of pestle and mortar.
Then I added this paste, chopped green chillies and tomatoes to the onions which I was already frying on medium heat.
And now comes the secret ingredient time, FENUGREEK DRIED LEAVES.
- This secret ingredient is used to increase the taste and aroma of the dish.
And then I added the lentils without water into this gravy.
Mix and cook it by adding one glass of water for at least 10 to 15 minutes on low heat.
Now it is time to take care of sauce Chatney چٹنی the side dish. As you can see below these are the ingredients used in this sauce.
I almost blended these above mentioned things with and without yogurt so it can be used in two ways
And now things are ready to be served and eaten by everyone.
