In 1975 Rick Derringer and his band the McCoys decided to record a new version of their huge 1965 hit Hang On Sloopy. They decided to make a short film featuring the song and hired a girl to loosely play the part of Sloopy.
There she is walking through the bad part of town where she lives, where everybody tries to put Sloopy down. This short film was only released in Europe and no one here saw it.
In 2010 it ended up on YouTube. People in the comments speculated on who the Sloopy Girl actress could be. Concensus seemd to be that it was Liz, Rick's wife.
The video went viral with millions of views.
One woman saw the video a year ago and knew the Sloopy Girl wasn't Liz. It was her! She never saw the film after she made it and was surprised to see herself, Lisa Leonard Dalton, in a popular video!
Lisa had been Miss Gazzarri dancer of 1974 and if you watch this video you can see that she is qualified to play this part!
