My late buddy liked poker. We enjoyed many games at his house. I'm sending this Kenny Rogers classic out to him.
you gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em.
know when to walk away, know when to run.
Might apply to crypto too, and investing in general. Hw do you know these things? You don't. You can try to make an assessment of probabilities, like you do in poker or gaming in general, but there is a big random component containing things you can't control.
What's the best you can do? Research what you're contemplating, then enter with a small position you can afford to lose, in order to get real world first hand experience. Notice the trends, assign probabilities, make a plan and stick to it unless you find a reason to change it.
Not financial advice. I know nothing and have no credentials to pretend to know anything. One thing I do know is that most of the time the answer to big questions is "I don't know" which is maybe humbling but honest.
