Timothy Leary's Dead is a recurring lyric in the 1968 trippy psychedelic rock classic song called Legend Of A Mind by English Progressive Pop Rock band The Moody Blues. Today I heard the News that Moody Blues co-founder Mike Pinder is dead. I thought I would honor him by featuring a cool Moody Blues song.
If you don't know who Timothy Leary is, you can click that link and read more on Wikipedia. He was a clinical psychologist at Harvard who was all for psychedelic drugs such as LSD. I'm not an advocate for any kind of drug use, but I do think psychedelic music is cool :)
My Activity
Today was once again helping a relative do some errands. That didn't leave me much time for movement other than short walks in and out of places.
At night I did do my walk. it was a little chilly and I wore the hoodie. The still nearly full moon was out but was very low on the horizon. I only saw it full at one point on my walk. Other than that it was behind houses and trees.
I'll leave you all with one more Moody Blues tune that I like. it's less slow and trippy. I like the fast beat on this one. It is called Ride My See Saw. This version includes the poem at the beginning that is recited to a continuously pitch rising tone. There's Mike behind the keyboard.
