There's a new song out with controversial lyrics called Karmageddon. YouTube recommended the Lyric Music video to me and I notice several of the words she is singing that are shown on the screen are misspelled, probably so as not to trigger a video takedown or full channel ban. I don't think what Iyah sings about is much worse than the nightly news and the opinion shows on cable news. It's just the way the world is. People are in tribes and of course they think their tribe is the best while the others are filled with terrible people.
Iyah May is a blond haired woman from Australia and you don't hear too much of her accent in her singing but you hear it when she talks. I'll add a Short from her below where she talks about this song.
The song style would be sort of a pop rap with sparse instrumentation at parts but with added synths at others. I think she has a nice singing voice similar to what has been on offer for the last 20 years. It is the lyrics that set this one apart from the rest. I'll warn you that you are likely to find something to be offended about as you hear the lyrics so skip this if you don't care for controversial topics.
So here is Karmageddon which suggests by that title that we get what we deserve, and we might deserve a huge disaster. Let it be a cautionary tale to help us bridge our divides as we work together for a better tomorrow. The video is a month old and has 1.8 Million views, so it's very popular!
Here is a YouTube Short from Iyah May where she shares a bit about the aftermath of making this song, and she thanks her fans for their shares and love. At the end she says, "Have the best day, man! I love you!" She is staying positive which is a little different from what one might expect from Karmageddon.
My Activity
today was minimal. I rested up from last night's club outing most of the day. I did do some outside chores and then I took my nightly walk. It wasn't freezing out there, yay! But it was overcast and slightly drizzly so I didn't see the moon.
During my normal length walk I did find some stairs to climb. Just 24 steps but still, it adds some diversity to my routine.
I hope your weekend is going well.
Have a nice Sunday! ❤️❤️❤️
