My Actifit Report Card: May 1 2025 - Living in the HIVE Limelight

As I went about my day I heard the 1981 rock hit Limelight by Canadian rockers Rush on the radio. This is a classic rock staple that is still played on classic rock radio stations and Sirius satellite radio channels like Ozzy's Boneyard.

I have always liked the lyrics and they even apply here to our HIVE social experience.

All the world's indeed a stage
And we are merely players
Performers and portrayers
Each another's audience
Outside the gilded cage

We're all here performing for each other. Bringing what we can to the ensemble. Vying for attention. Each the others' audience.

Cast in this unlikely role
Ill-equipped to act
With insufficient tact
One must put up barriers
To keep oneself intact

We get here and we're not well equipped with the skills or the rules set that we should use to interact. We sometimes use phony personas to shield our inner self from possible scorn and ridicule.

But if we want to have some fun and play the HIVE social and economic game, we have to just get on with it, experience the fascination, learn the real ways to relate to others here, figure out the theme of our strategy which can not only benefit ourselves but also all those other players inside the gilded HIVE game.

My Activity

today was some Exercise Snacks where I would rapidly do as many squats as I could in 2 minutes. Getting out of breath like this several times a day is healthy, as I have written about in the last few days on here. Go and look :)

I also took a short walk under a skinny moon which has not become very full quite yet. But it is coming! The moon follows a cycle where its reflected sunlight goes from boom to bust in 4 weeks. Learn the cycle and you'll know when the moon will be full. Learn the crypto cycle and your bags may be fully packed!

Also just a little while ago I wrote a 6 paragraph Reply to a Hive post about fixing the Hive economy. My thoughts were based on the Pareto Principle. You might find that an interesting read, or maybe not! But you won't know until you read it and the post that inspired it.
