In honor of the event I was at yesterday, here are 3 classic Freestyle songs you can dance to. I usually like loud fast metal maniac music but for dancing with the ladies ya gotta have some hot dance moves and know some classic dance grooves. And I do!
Shannon - Let The Music Play
We will start at the start. This is one of the first Freestyle tunes released in 1983 and had much success in clubs and on the radio. It is by Shannon, who also hit with Give Me Tonight.
The opening bars to this song were used throughout the Freestyle event I attended yesterday as a bridge between songs by the crafty DJ. Eventually toward the end of the party he finally played the entire song and the crowd went wild.
If you never heard this, it is an up tempo post-disco dance track about a guy and girl having a dance, and what ensues. It's synth and electronic drums, with Shannon singing just about at an audible level for the verses. She's a bit more in the front of the mix in the chorus.
Let's Dance like its 1984!

The Cover Girls - Show Me
This is a classic mid tempo Freestyle song that everyone who knows Freestyle knows and loves. You have one female vocalist doing lead but the other girls are in there too.
The girls know that words are so easy to say, you gotta show them you really love them bc actions speak louder that words!
Due to the very basic tempo, anyone can dance to this. You can even just stand and sway if you want. Try it now!
Cynthia - Dream Boy / Dream Girl
Here's my girl Cynthia from the boogie down Bronx NYC! I actually know her and she's still singing to this day. She does Freestyle reunions and cruises. I've seen her in concert a few times, up close, in front of the velvet rope where us VIPs get to be.
She sings this as a duet with Johnny O. It's a sweet tune with each of them singing how much they love and appreciate each other. If you have, or had a love like this, you're lucky!
You're my Dream boy, you show me you love me every way! Now I know that dreams come true!
Let's Celebrate Love!
My Activity
today was average lately. Too hot to do much. I was out working on the car during the mid afternoon which resulted in instant sweat and required lotsa re-hydration.
At night I did go out for my daily nightly walk. I saw the almost half moon but it drifted in and out of view due to clouds. The temps were around 80 and the forecast was for impending rain so I stayed rather close. I still managed 6K which is OK I suppose.
Well Monday is over! On to the rest of the week.
Have A Nice Day!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
