One of my favorite family bands on YouTube is out with a new original song and performance music video. The Hawkbirds are dad on drums, mom on guitar and backing vocals and daughter Sunflower on bass and lead vocals. This new song is called Let's Stay Out Late Tonight. It debuted yesterday and got 2410 views so far.
This fast punk pop tune is clearly inspired by The Ramones, Blondie and New York City. The Ramones, Blondie, The Hawkbirds and me - we're all from NYC. So aside from the fact that I love seeing families doing something fun and productive together, I also love the music and lyrics and subject matter of this cool new original song.
I'm hearing the influence of a song by Blondie such as maybe Sunday Girl. But the main style is from The Ramones, early stuff like We're A Happy Family. If you know these bands in their early years, you may hear it too.
Have a listen and subscribe to The Hawkbirds if you want to hear more from them!
My Activity
on this Saturday was resting and recuperating early in the day, followed my chores in and around the house.
Next was some work with the dumbbells. I worked the legs, core and the arms (mainly biceps) with some effort from the back. I did more sets than I have been doing and I want to maintain this level of effort as often as I can.
After that was 30 inclined pushups to get some chest work in. I'm trying various angles and surfaces in my pushup routine rather than always doing them down on the floor. So this part of the exercise counts as calisthenics.
That's all for now. I hope your weekend rocks!
Happy Sunday, Everyone!!! 😀👍❤️🙏
