Today I set up a Raspberry Pi 5 that arrived from Amazon a few days ago. I run my Hive bots on it, as well as some and
functionality. The Pi line of small computers are low power consuming which I like since they are on 24/7.
I got the Raspberry Pi made by canakits. I bought my Raspberry Pi 4 from them, which has been running flawlessly for several years now. But the Pi has been out a while and I wanted a backup for the 4, so I got the 5. The new 5 may become my main bot runner and I'll keep the 4 as a backup. I started with a Pi 3 but when I wanted to run several bots in tabs of the browser, the computer slowed down. The 4 has been great but the is only a few dollars more, and it is bigger, better, faster in a few ways that ChatGPT can tell you about with a simple query!
So I paid $136 for this canakit Raspberry Pi 5, but maybe it was on sale because now I see it on Amazon for $160. Actually maybe that's why I bought the now, since I had been looking at them, and maybe the last time I looked they had the sale. I really don't recall!
In any case, you get a kit, which you can put together in like 10 minutes. When you open the box, you see a card that directs you to canakit.com/pi-case where you see an embedded YouTube video that shows you what to do. I'll embed it here! Maybe you'll become interested in owning one of these small but powerful computers.
If you want one, here's the link to it on Amazon. There might be an affiliate code in this link. I was once an Amazon affiliate via my work, maybe I still am, not sure. So I'll give the disclaimer that I may get a commission if you use this link.
Here's a screenshot of the pic at Amazon, showing you what you get and have to put together. It's basically plugging the fan onto the board, adding a heatsink, putting everything in the case, and plugging your keyboard, mouse, monitor and power into the thing. Easy!

Have you ever owned a Raspberry Pi or any similar tiny/small computer?
My Activity
today was a few family tasks and building the Pi! Oh, I did get it all set up and it works great!
At night I took a walk in 80 degree Fahrenheit weather and high humidity. I went almost an average length but as I thought about going farther, the heat started to get to me so I ended it. The moon was out! Not high in the sky though, and only about a quarter or so. Still nice to see our shared orbiting neighbor!
Have a Nice Day!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
