I've been watching some of the Olympics the last few days on NBC TV. They do a great job of covering the drama of these high stakes games that the athletes have been training for their entire lives.
If you miss something, of course you can catch up online. NBC Sports has a YouTube channel where they post recaps. Here is Team USA's highlights on the fourth day of the Winter Olympics taking place in Milan and Cortina Italy. Lots of skiing and also some skating as well. A young guy by the name of Ilia Malinin (nicknamed the Quad God) put on an amazing show in the Mens Short Program of skating and won 1st place for the USA.
I'm rooting for USA because I live here, but if you're rooting for another country I can respect that!
Looks like you'll have to watch that video on YouTube as it can't be embedded.
Are you watching the Olympics?
Any special moments you really enjoyed?
My Activity
was very good today. It hit 71 degrees this afternoon!
I got out and rode my bike to warm up for the rest of what I did.
I have a rebounder, which is a mini trampoline, so I used that between the other things I did, to keep the heart rate up and to move the lymph which the up and down motion does.
I did some bent rows and curls with my barbells.
I did 3 different arm raises with my dumbbells.
I did some calf work by going up on my toes 40 times, and then doing another set on the edge of a stair so I got a fuller range of motion. Don't forget leg day! Leg exercise is important.
Uniting For the Olympics
In these unsettled times it is good to see countries come together and play sports games to compete in the best way possible. All people can appreciate amazing skills of sports ability. Let's build friendship and respect for each other with friendly competitions like this!
Have a Great Day!
