Photo: Dewberries (like blackberries, but not) grow wild all over our property. Walking around my yard today I spotted the first berries of the season.
Today was a day of reading (The 100-Year Lifestyle), listening to podcasts (The Survival Podcast) while walking and doing aerobics, raking up cut grass to add to the chicken run, and trying out a new food diary app. There was also chatting on Discord and on the phone, cooking up a big pot of black beans, and doing laundry.
Mid-afternoon I got a weather alert saying our area is under a Tornado Watch until 11 pm. What? Looked up at clear blue skies. After checking radar and only finding some scattered rain many miles to the West, I wondered where this potential tornado was coming from.
Before sundown though the skies were darkening and as I'm typing this I see the sky to the north lighting up from lightning. There is still rain in the forecast (ugh!) but I hope the twisters don't make an appearance.
