We live down about five miles of dirt road. Much of the route is a single road that twists, turns, and changes direction unexpectedly. I like being somewhat off the beaten path. However, GPS and map apps sometimes have trouble with our address plus the county roads have confusingly similar numbers that are not always sequential. To confuse things further, old street names that show up on some map apps aren't on the street signs, just the county road numbers.
Today I had to meet a husband and wife out at our homestead who were buying a car from my #2 daughter. Got a call from her (she was out of town visiting my daughter #1) telling me the couple were lost once they left the Farm to Market (i.e. paved) road. That happens frequently with visitors, even those somewhat familiar with the area. Jumped in my truck and went looking for them.
After leading them back to our place we (eventually) loaded up the car they were buying onto their trailer. Asked if they needed an escort back to the main road. The husband was quick to respond, "oh my gosh, YES." His GPS was useless out here.
Beyond that adventure, back at my #3 daughter's house (that is, my job), I got busy with house cleaning, searching for a missing chicken (found), and two "firsts". Dinner included my first time making zoodles - zucchini noodles - and my evening workout was my first time with a kettlebell.
The zoodles (made with zucchini from my garden) were a hit with everyone. As for my workout, I kept repeating the only two exercises I currently know. It was fun and a nice change from dumbbells; but, if I decide to get a kettlebell of my own, it's going to be lighter. Twenty pounds is just a touch too heavy for me at the moment.
