Morning started off quiet but then granddaughter and I made a trip to town for some Dollar Tree shopping. My most fun purchases were socks with pink flamingos and 3D stick-on butterflies to brighten up the bedroom door. Granddaughter picked out play money, tiny broom, a candle for her mother, and a very squishy crown-wearing frog. π²π³
Back at the house I alternated between searching (again) for a missing rooster and tripping over the dog repeatedly (does that count as interval training?). I finally found the roo while retrieving electrical tape from shop. He was hiding from the 8 hens. I made a point to take him some food and not reveal his location to the ladies. π
Eva, the robot vacuum, went nuts again. She tried to eat her own power cord, kept returning to her docking station after cleaning the same spot in the hallway over and over, then (after carrying her to the other side of the house) would only clean one bathroom before declaring herself done. I ended up using a broom to sweep up all the accumulated dog hair she missed since going on strike. That dog could weave a large rug every week from the hair he sheds. π§Ήπ
Returned to my own house in the evening. I swear the zucchini grew 7 inches overnight. Since we have a zucchini backlog at daughter #3's house, I walked up to daughter #2's house and dropped off a huge bag of zucchini and squash and promised to bring beans and cucumbers tomorrow. π₯
Since I'll probably be doing yard work on Monday, I'm relaxing the rest of the evening. No lost chickens, dog hair, or robots tonight. I just hope I don't dream of giant zucchini.
