I did lots of disc golf today. I played a couple of rounds this morning with a couple of other players who joined up with me on my favorite eighteen basket course.
The first round went rather well for me but on the second round I was having a hard time putting. The wind was kicking up a bit and I was still trying to use my floppy putter which is more difficult to control in the wind.
Later in the evening my son and I played a couple of quick rounds on the nine basket disc golf course nearby. It was fun to get out after dinner and a nice temperature.
As we were practicing our putting on a raised basket I noticed that I do a lot better if I grip the disc tighter. I think that sometimes after playing for some time I tend to grip the discs with less force and that seems to give me more trouble getting it to the basket with enough spin.
I going to concentrate more on my grip strength when I make my shorter putts and see if that helps improve my accuracy.
It is supposed to rain a lot tomorrow so I might not be able to get outside as much.
I took these photos out in the backyard today:
The puppy was really enjoying the yard today and running all over the place. It was hard to catch a good photo of him.
