The weather was nice today so my son and I played a couple of rounds of disc golf at our favorite eighteen basket local course. For the first round a couple of friends joined us so we played a doubles round. It was the old guys verses the young guys.
The old guys (me and a friend) were playing alright for our age and the weather but the young guys were playing excellently. They won by a large margin.
On the second round we were joined by one other friend and played a single scored round. My son was again playing very well and won by a large margin.
I was a having a difficult second round and stayed affectionately known as BOB (back of box) in the tee order for most of the round. There were some issues with my putting today.
The river was down just a bit and there was a big tree stuck half washed down near the shoreline:
I thought maybe I could find my lost Sword disc so I looked around briefly for it. Everyone was wanting to keep playing so there was not much time to look.
Later this evening I got a text from a different friend who had found my disc in the river. He said it was about four feet from the shore. I had a feeling my lost Sword disc would get back to me a bit sooner this time. Yay!
Note to self:
Don't throw the blue beat in Sword disc into a headwind and expect it to finish left on a right hand backhand throw.
