Somebody was kicking butt and taking names out on the disc golf course today. The five of us had a great time in the heavily wooded course.
I almost birdied an island hole near the start of the course that always gives me trouble. I was really happy to take a par on it. (I've scored eight points on the par 3 before.)
I was very happy with the hole and went on the play a personal best round with a +2 score. (The nearest cardmate scored a +10 and many a round I've scored around there too.) It doesn't happen all the time but when you do get a good round it does feel nice.
My son threw the Fission Photon disc very nicely on a tight wooded hole. It landed right next to my Mamba disc. My throw pushed really right and almost hit some trees while his throw went right up the middle on a nice S-Line.
I got to thinking that perhaps I had judged the disc too harshly and didn't give it enough of a chance. After dinner I sheepishly asked if he would mind giving it back. It does do a shot shape that I typically don't use and that might benefit my game if I could figure it out.
A lot of times a disc kind of grows on me after initially not being very sure about it. I kind of figured out how to throw the Destiny disc today a lot better too. It is a really good disc if you want a super long throw that finishes to the right. If you throw it too hard it doesn't seem to go much farther and you run into danger with it though.
A view of the river out on the disc golf course today:

I tried to take a photo of some of the schools of fish that were swimming in the river today. They were a bit small as salmon go so we thought maybe they were younger fish making their way down to the ocean.
I like the way the processing makes the forest seem very alive.
Thanks for reading! I always value your support and comments. The pictures were taken by me with my Galaxy S9+. Text and graphics copyright lightsplasher & litesplasher.
