Three of us elderly guys played disc golf out on my favorite course today. We played a round of eighteen which I won with a +1 score and my friends tied with a +4 score.
One of my friends left and the remaining friend and I played a short partial round of nine baskets. I think we ended up with a tie at a +3? or something like that. (We weren't scoring it very closely and were just out having fun.)
I felt pretty good today but I'm still stiff in places. My friend said I was not playing as well as I usually do. I think the winter weather makes it a lot harder for me to play well.
It started out below freezing at the beginning of the round and none of us warmed up with putting or any practice drives. Until I get going a bit the shivers make it hard to throw well. I did warm up and as the day progressed and so did the temperature. By the end of the second round I was almost overdressed and thinking about taking off my jacket.
All in all it was a lot of fun. The three of us are planning to do another more difficult course in a couple of days. I'm also playing a difficult course on Sunday in the league.
