My friend and I played a couple of rounds of disc golf out at the local easy eighteen-hole course. I won both rounds with the scores at even to +3 and +2 to +5. The weather was nice and it was not too windy. We were both having some fun out there.
I was throwing my new D4 a lot. I'm really happy with it because it is just a bit more stable than my 163 gram D4 Air. In the picture below, I have them in order from the least stable to the most stable from left to right. All five of these discs have slightly different flying characteristics. I have one more orange D3 that I'm keeping in reserve in case the purple one gets beat in or I lose it. The purple and orange discs are both too heavy and stable for me to throw max distance with. They are really good for throwing into a headwind.
The three discs in the middle: light red D4 Air, red D4 400, and pink D3 500 are great for throwing max distance. The blue D4 Air is almost too flippy to be usable.
