My friend and I played a short round of disc golf on an easier course. I won with the scores at +2 to +7. My friend has a few short distance putts that really should have gone in if he was slowing down a little more.
I usually like to put a marker down to remind myself to take a little more time and slow down even on the shorter putts. If I miss those, it can be hard to stay focused in a tournament round. Not that it was a tournament today. 😁
I've been watching a lot of tips on increasing distance in disc golf. Sometimes, new ways of throwing can be helpful, but often, they make me struggle a bit more until I get the feel for them.
One thing that I thought was helpful was that when you start throwing farther, it can be stressful on your body. It takes some time to get in condition for distance throwing. I think that some of what I have been experiencing is from not having the muscles around my hips in condition for throwing with the power that I have been throwing with. I'm going to try a bit more focused exercises to try to strengthen my hip and lower back muscles.
Every once in a while, this flower blooms:
It lasts a long time once it opens.
