Consistency is the name of the game, and today, Wednesday, May 6, 2026, I am proud to share that I have maintained my 10k streak here in the USA! Clocking in at 10,146 steps, I feel like I am finally in a perfect rhythm with my new surroundings in Old Bridge, New Jersey. The initial exhaustion of the transatlantic flight has completely faded, replaced by a fresh curiosity to explore every corner of this beautiful area.
The Charm of the American Suburbs
There is a specific kind of peace that comes with walking through these residential streets. The photo I’m sharing today captures the essence of a perfect spring afternoon: wide open roads, clear blue skies, and the quiet dignity of suburban life. I’ve noticed that in the US, the scale of everything encourages you to keep moving. What looks like a short walk on a map often turns into a substantial journey, which is great for my Actifit goals!
During my walk today, I took the time to appreciate the small details the way the sunlight filters through the budding trees and the friendly waves from neighbors as they pull into their driveways. It’s a very different vibe from the bustling streets of London, but one that I am growing to love. Looking at my activity graph, you can see a very intense spike late in the evening around 9:00 PM (21:00). This was my final push to hit the 10k goal. Sometimes the day gets busy with other tasks, but I’ve made a commitment to myself to never settle for less than 10,000 steps while I’m on this trip. That final burst of energy really helped me close the day on a high note.
Community and Connection
One of the most rewarding parts of this experience has been the interaction with the community. After my recent chats with fellow users like , I’ve realized that Actifit is more than just a step tracker; it’s a global network of people encouraging each other to live better lives.
