I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Today is Monday, May 18, 2026, and I decided to kick off the new week with plenty of energy and a brand new outdoor adventure. Mondays can sometimes feel a bit sluggish, but there is no better cure for the Monday blues than getting out into nature. Today, my fitness journey took me to the breathtaking grounds of Richmond Park, and I am thrilled to report that I smashed my goals, locking in an impressive 12,174 steps on my Actifit tracker!
Richmond Park is renowned for its vast, wide open spaces, ancient trees, and peaceful atmosphere. Walking here always feels like a mini escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The weather today was absolutely ideal for a long trek mild, slightly overcast, but with beautiful soft light filtering through the trees.
As I walked along the pedestrian paths, I was surrounded by vibrant green hills and the peaceful sounds of nature. Richmond Park is a massive hub for outdoor enthusiasts, and today the roads were buzzing with cyclists testing their endurance on the park's famous undulating hills. Watching them pedal past against the backdrop of lush greenery and open skies added a wonderful, active energy to my own walk. It inspired me to push a little harder and extend my route just a bit further.
What I love most about walking in a place like this is how easily the steps accumulate. When you are busy admiring the landscape, watching the deer in the distance, or simply enjoying the fresh air, you completely forget that you are working out. Before I knew it, my tracker was buzzing to let me know I had cleared my daily targets.
Looking at my Actifit dashboard for today, my activity graph shows a very consistent and solid block of movement starting from the late morning through the afternoon, with a fantastic peak right in the middle of my park exploration. Closing that bright green activity ring completely on a Monday evening gives me a massive sense of accomplishment and sets a wonderful, healthy tone for the rest of the week.
Days like today prove that consistency is key, and finding a beautiful location to stay active makes all the difference in the world. It keeps the routine exciting and gives me something to look forward to every single day.
