Hello Actifit community and fitness enthusiasts!

What a way to kickstart the week! Today is Monday, May 25, 2026, and it has been an absolute scorcher here in London. The thermometer hit a staggering 36°C (96.8°F), which is incredibly hot for this time of the year. While a lot of people might prefer staying indoors with the AC on full blast on a day like this, I decided to take advantage of the bright weather and get moving. It wasn't easy, but keeping up with my fitness goals is non-negotiable!
I am incredibly proud to report that I officially smashed my daily goal today, wrapping up the afternoon with a total of 11,191 steps!
Keeping the Streak Alive
Consistency is everything when it comes to long-term fitness. Looking at my Actifit dashboard, hitting today's goal means I have officially extended my consistency streak to 17 days in a row! There is something so satisfying about seeing those green checkmarks light up for every single day of the week.
Hats off to Actifit’s latest updates as well—the app interface feels smoother than ever, and tracking my progress during this Spring Refresh season has been a breeze.
Fun, Heat, and Scooters
Most of my steps today came from spending some high-energy time outdoors with the family. The kids brought out their scooters to the open paved area near the park, and watching them zip around meant I had to keep up! One of the boys was rocking his helmet and leading the pack, while the others were pushing hard and cheering each other on.
As you can tell from the photos, it was a sweaty affair. I had my trusty bottle of water with me at all times to stay hydrated, and a towel to wipe off the sweat. Working out or simply staying active in 36°C heat requires a lot of extra effort and discipline. Your heart pumps faster, you sweat instantly, and every step feels a bit heavier. But honestly, the feeling of accomplishment afterward makes it all worth it.
Hydration is Key!
If you are exercising or walking in hot weather, please remember to take care of your body:
Drink water before, during, and after your session.
Take short breaks in the shade if you feel overheated.
Listen to your body and don't overdo it.
After a long, active afternoon, the sun finally started to dip below the horizon, bringing a much-needed cool breeze. The peaceful evening sky was the perfect reward after a demanding, high-step day.
How was your Monday? Did you manage to hit your step goals today? Let me know in the comments below, and let's keep pushing each other to stay active, healthy, and consistent!
