Greetings all. I trust you all are getting active.
Everyday is a special day and comes with it so many activities.
The rains are here welcoming the planting season. As it had rained the previous night, I planned clearing and preparing my little garden for cultivation, since I won't be at work this Saturday.
The morning was cold and to get warm I prepared breakfast of fried potatoes and spinach sauce with hot beverage tea.
After breakfast it was time for garden work.
Before clearing
From the last cultivation I did, there were some vegetable (pumpkin/ugu) plants left in it, although some parts of the leaves were dried but about two stems were still alive because they started developing seeds late. So I had to cut off the dried ones to make room for planting other things.
Next, I weeded and cleared it. That done, I made ridges for the crops. I intend planting vegetables like pumpkin (Ụgụ) and fluted pumpkin, (ugboru), water leaf, then maize, pepper.
The ridges
After making the ridges, I got some water leaf sticks and planted. Although it wasn't much, I will plant more as I get more.
The water leaf
I also got some nylon bags, filled them with sand and compost then put pepper, tomato and añara leaf seeds for budding.
The seeds for budding
It was way into the evening before I could finish up, and I was exhausted and famished, so I showered, ate and rested.
Exhausted me, resting
