Ready or not, here I come..

-> from locating a shoe transportation apparatus.. amongst other curiosities.

With my vision experiencing some screen fatigue.. it was a welcome relief to get outside for a bit. A little windy, sure.. but the importance and benefit of resting my eyes cannot be understated! Besides, the breeze was kinda therapeutic in its own right.

The first item collected today was that of a small pair of shorts. I found it in some green shrubbery on the pavement, just before entering the local wetlands area.

Then there was an empty bottle of liquor. As always with these types of items.. the quicker in which they are removed, the better. This, so that there is less likelihood of the glass breaking into dangerous fragments at a later point in time.

From there on out, it was a cardboard bucket (used for fast food), and an empty plastic yogurt container.

More takeaway related trash.

One less horrible sheet of plastic to contend with.. in the bag it went!

I wasn't expecting to spot this type of large bag. Don't really know how to describe it.. other than that it was made of a fibre, with a plastic feel to it. I'm guessing it could have housed maize meal perhaps?

After locating so many shoes over my many adventures thus far.. I guess it was only a matter of time before finding a shoe box. Ok, it doesn't really make that much sense.. but nothing surprizes me anymore.

No idea what this round shaped spring is from.. just another curious random item I guess.

A large empty packet from a maize snack. Nothing interesting about this particular find, but obviously still stoked to rid the environment of it.

A brown paper carrier from a local fast food outlet - probably linked to the earlier finds.

The last litter picked up consisted of an assortment of empty drinks holders.. ranging from soft to alcohol.

The trash collected was emptied in one of the local public municipal bins. As you can see from what was picked up, this is a battle far from over. That being said.. one more successful day added to the list!
