Hey Actifitters,
There was a lot to do yesterday but I ended up not doing that much, besides a long walk in the forest of course. I did start a little bit of yard work but I quickly realized I was more checking on the dying leaves than anything else. Soon there won't be any leaves left in the yard, not on the trees at least.
The sisters didn't help much either, as I spent time observing their funny moments. It's not easy to see but on the first photo, Le Chat is attacking Kaia. She was upset for some reason, and she's not one to easily back down. But Kaia just thought she wanted to play, and Le Chat quickly realized her mistake when Kaia put her big paw on her! She was just playing of course, but I had to intervene. Le Chat can definitely handle her own, but she obviously can't do much against a 100 pounds German Shepherd. Anyways, it was fun to watch and nobody got hurt.
Since not much yard work was getting done, I just gave up and we started our daily walk behind the front yard.
Le Chat followed but kept her distance this time, she was busy eating grass and plants.
As usual, we headed to the bigger forest next.
Once again, Kaia had fun climbing on fallen trees and looking for critters to chase.
Although the weather was nice and we had plenty of blue in the sky, we thought the sun would stay mostly behind the clouds.
Until it finally broke through the clouds and trees. I love these views.
It was too late to leave and catch the sunset at a better view point, so we just kept walking on the trails.
It's just like a sunset above the teepees.
It had been a few days I believe since we'd seen deer in the forest. They were everywhere yesterday. This small one let me snap a picture.
But Kaia wasn't that patient, and went after it of course.
That's when I realized it was actually a big group. They dispersed but we kept seeing them. After the climbing and all these chases, I thought Kaia was kind of done for the day, but it seems she feels several years younger with the colder weather. So, instead of the perfect shot I had lined up, I ended up with yet another blurry deer, with a dog on its hooves...
Like I said, not much has been done in the yard or inside the house, but at least we enjoyed our forest walk and outdoor time, and my final step count is pretty good too. On to the new week now!
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
