Reliving events today, I tell you that since March of this year, my daughter started having pains in her left leg, a soft tissue ultrasound was performed and it showed an umbilical hernia. The doctor told me that she had to be operated, she was put on the waiting list, since there are many children before her.
They sent her for lab tests, chest x-ray, anesthetic evaluation and to buy the medical supplies to advance the process and that is what we did.

Time passed and I waited six months for them to tell me that there was a place for her to be operated, I went to the children's surgery area of the hospital, and indeed it was a fact, they checked everything, they finished filling the medical history with data related to her birth and her life until now, they evaluated the girl again with the physical exam they do, and everything was ready to operate tomorrow.
Organizing the suitcase with everything needed for the operation, at the same time I have been calming my little girl so that she doesn't feel afraid. I have told her that I will be there and that the operation is to make the pain go away.
I have left the food at home ready, just to warm up, waiting for my mom to help me take care of my other daughter. It is in these moments that the cooperation of family and friends is valued....
With much faith and optimism I am, trusting that all will be well, and soon I will return home with my daughter.

Reviviendo acontecimientos hoy, les cuento que desde marzo de este año, mi hija empezó con dolores en la pierna izquierda, se le realizó una ecografía de tejidos blandos y arrojó una hernia umbilical. El médico me dijo que había que operarla, la pusieron en lista de espera,ya que hay muchos niños antes que ella.
La mandaron a hacer exámenes de laboratorio, placa de tórax, valoración anestésica y a comprar los insumos médicos para ir adelantando el proceso y eso fue lo que hicimos.

Pasó el tiempo y esperé seis meses para que me dijeran que hay un cupo para operar para ella, fui al área de cirugía infantil del hospital, y efectivamente era un hecho, revisaron todo, terminaron de llenar la historia clínica con datos relacionados a su nacimiento y su vida hasta ahora, evaluaron nuevamente a la niña con el examen físico que hacen, y quedó todo listos para operar mañana.
Organizando la maleta con todo lo necesario para la operación, al mismo tiempo he ido calmando a mi niña para que no sienta miedo. Le he dicho que estaré allí y que la operación es para que el dolor desaparezca.
He dejado en casa la comida lista, solo de calentar, esperando a mi mamá para que me ayude a cuidar a mi otra hija. En estos momentos es que se valora la cooperación de la familia y amigos...
Con mucha fe y optimismo estoy, confiando que saldrá todo bien, y pronto regresaré con mi hija a mi hogar.
