As I was taking my daughter to school, as usual, I noticed some abandoned books on the street. It caught my attention to see them and I said to my daughters: "We have to stop, I have to take a look at them".
Of the eleven books, only four were of interest to me; they are useful for my daughters' school activities. I took the books and left the others, which were university books on physics, biochemistry and mathematics, and continued on my way to school.
I was left with the thought of the books that I could not bring, since they were heavy. I told my daughter that if those books are still there, I will take them to the library so that others can benefit. On the way back to my house nobody fell in love with the books, I picked them up, I was carrying the eleven books.
Once at home I put my books away and looked for a bag and put the seven books in it to donate them to the Pío Tamayo Public Library, which is about seven blocks away.
Once at the library I found out that they are not taking donations until further notice. However, they went to talk to the person in charge and he came to check the books.

He told me that they would accept them to take them to another library in Siquisique, Urdaneta municipality, in the state of Lara. I left a note that it was donated by me, I was so happy that the books will be of help to people who want to read and have a direct contact with the physical book itself.

Well, I think that books are not being given the value they deserve nowadays. Many people do not like to read, they damage them, break them, scratch them and throw them in the trash or place them in the street for others to take them away, as was my case.
That way of being should change in my opinion, I have talked to people about books and the answer they give me is that you have to be practical go to the internet and look for what you need from there to not be accumulating books, dust, dirty.
I don't think the same way, I do like to have a book in my hand, and to be able to read it, look at it whenever I want and have it occupy a special place in my home library.
After leaving the library, I went home with my empty bag waiting to fill it again, I must continue with my daily routine, until next time.
Libros encontrados fueron donados.
Llevando a mi hija al colegio, como de costumbre, me fijé en unos libros abandonados en la calle. Me llamó la atención al verlos y les dije a mis hijas: "Hay que parar debo de revisar".
De los once libros, solo cuatro eran de mi interés; me sirven para las actividades escolares de mis hijas. Tomé los libros y dejé los demás que eran libros universitarios de la especialidad física, bioquímica y matemáticas y seguí camino a la escuela.
Quedé con el pensamiento de los libros que no pude traer, ya que pesaban. Le dije a mi hija que si esos libros aún permanecen allá, los llevaré a la biblioteca para que otros se beneficien.De regreso hacia mi casa nadie se enamoró de los libros, los recogí, llevaba los once libros.
Ya en mi casa guardé mis libros y busqué una bolsa y metí los siete libros para donarlos a la Biblioteca Pública Pío Tamayo, que se encuentra a siete cuadras aproximadamente.
En la biblioteca me encuentro con la noticia de que no están recibiendo donaciones hasta nuevo aviso. Sin embargo, fueron a hablar con el encargado y vino a revisar los libros.

Pues pienso que no se le está dando el valor que merecen a los libros en la actualidad. A muchas personas no les gusta leer, los dañan, los rompen, los rayan y los botan a la basura o los colocan en la calle para que otros se los lleven en sí como fue mi caso.
Esa manera de ser debería cambiar a mi parecer, he hablado con personas sobre los libros y la respuesta que me dan es que hay que ser prácticos ir al internet y buscar lo que se necesita de allí para no estar acumulando libros, polvo, sucio.
Yo no pienso igual, a mí sí me gusta tener un libro en la mano, y poder leerlo, ojearlo cuando yo quiera y que ocupe un lugar especial en la biblioteca de mi casa.
Luego de salir de la biblioteca, me fui rumbo a mi casa con la bolsa vacía a la espera de volverla a llenar nuevamente.Los dejo debo seguir con mi rutina diaria, hasta la próxima.
