We are experiencinga La Nina event in Australia this summer . It's now very late Spring and usually, I would have seen several plus 30 Celsius days.
Today was the closest it reached the high twenties but was awfully muggy.
One of the many consequences of what has been very heavy rainfall for this time of year is that the council have been unable to mow the many park areas around here.
Grass has gotten to knee level high in some areas.
After several dry days they've managed to get in and give most high traffic areas a rough cut at least.
It's a good thing that they did.
I can smell rain in the air. It's a beautiful smell. We're in for a drenching for the next few days.
La Nina is a weather event where the prevailing trade winds are much stronger than usual.
This results in Australia getting hit with a lot of moisture.
The US it seems can look forward to a dry winter.
