A pretty solid effort.
The magpie around here are something else.
If you spend some time watching them you 'll be amazed at how territorial and social they are.
I've come to know quite a few of them on my walks. They watch me and the dog closely as we pass. They are wary but by no means scared. There is a touch of "gunfighter" about their gaze and presence.
The swooping season is just about over.
Postmen get an awful time.
I haven't been swooped. I've read somewhere that they can recognise faces and remember people.
Pretty awesome stuff.
Listening to them warbler is a joy. There isn't a sound like it. It reminds me of some fantastic musical instrument that plays movementsthrough chords.
The only time That I'm not so fascinated is 3 am when one of the local birds camped in the gum tree outside my bedroom decides to let everyone know that it's alive and well.
