Yesterday I went for another bike ride in the hills around my house. I had the intention to do a long easy-paced ride, but it was super windy. Instead, I kept the route a bit shorter than intended. Despite the wind, it was however beautiful outside. The sun was there all day and it really felt summer at our doorstep!

I’m trying to squeeze in more rides as I will be doing a few tours in the coming weeks. First, next Sunday, I will ride a 100-kilometer ride that is organized by a local club. I will do this trip with a few old study friends that I didn’t see for a couple of years now. Then the week after I will ride a 150-kilometer ride with a big group of random friends. This ride starts in a Dutch town called Eindhoven and will include a few stretches of cobblestone roads. I’m excited to finally ride in a big group again!
Then soon after this ride, I will leave to go to Corsica for two weeks to tour around with my bike and a little camper van. I’ve never been to the island and I’m very excited to explore the roads there! After I’m back I have a beast of a ride ahead of me. Longest I’ve ever done and probably the most height meters too! More on that later….
Do you have any challenging sports events ahead of you this summer?
