Hello 👋🏾, to all members of the Hive community, how are you this evening?

Hoy tuve un día muy atareado, como siempre, pero hoy fue un día de hacer inventario y compras de mercancías, entonces uno de mis hijos y mi sobrino me acompañaron en esta travesía que no es fácil de hacer para una sola persona. Mi esposo no pudo acompañarnos por estar en otras tareas que también ayudan en los ingresos de la casa.

Today I had a very busy day, as always, but today was a day for taking inventory and buying merchandise, so one of my sons and my nephew accompanied me on this journey, which isn't easy to do alone. My husband couldn't join us because he was busy with other tasks that also help with the household income.

Llegamos a mitad de la mañana y nos sorprendió un tremendo aguacero, yo que estoy acatarrada no tenía donde guarecerme y me mojé hasta los huesos. El agua estaba muy fría y el viento más frío todavía. Los vendedores no tenían como resguardar bien los artículos y la mayoría comenzó a recoger por temor a perder todo, las personas corrían en desbandada, todo era un caos, literal.

We arrived in the middle of the morning and were surprised by a tremendous downpour. I, having a cold, had nowhere to take shelter and got soaked to the bone. The water was very cold, and the wind was even colder. The vendors had no way to properly protect their goods, and most began to pack up for fear of losing everything. People ran in all directions; it was complete chaos, literally.

El agua duró alrededor de media hora pero lo peor vino después, las calles llenas de agua sucia, el lodo estaba por doquier, el asfalto en mal estado provocó la acumulación de agua, las cajas vacías y los nylon pululaban por doquier.

The rain lasted about half an hour, but the worst came after. The streets were full of dirty water, mud was everywhere, the poor road conditions caused water to accumulate, and empty boxes and plastic bags were scattered all over.

Mi cara de decepción lo decía todo.

My disappointed face said it all.

Me encontré a mi hermana mayor que vive cerca de allí y fuimos para su casa a coger un poco de calor, teníamos todos los zapato mojados y con fango, a pesar de haber escampado, pero eso ya no tenía remedio . Ya casi era hora del cierre de la feria y cuando volvimos a salir quedaban muy pocos vendedores.

I ran into my older sister, who lives nearby, and we went to her house to warm up a bit. Our shoes were all wet and muddy, even though the rain had stopped, but there was no helping that now. It was almost closing time for the market, and when we went back out, very few vendors were left.

A pesar de eso pudimos comprar algunas cositas y retornar a casa, al menos pasé el día con varios de los miembros de mi familia. Acumulé puntos en mi caminata diaria y no resolví todo lo que quería pero compremos algunas cositas. En casa comprobé que mi caminata del día fue muy buena y en la tarde continúe con las labores diarias.

Despite that, we were able to buy a few things and return home. At least I spent the day with several members of my family. I accumulated steps in my daily walk, and while I didn't accomplish everything I wanted, we did buy a few things. At home, I checked my step count for the day, and it was very good. In the afternoon, I continued with my daily chores.
